SD cards also known as Secure Digital cards are small memory cards used to store data and information. SD cards are used in Mobile phones, Digital Cameras, and various other small handheld devices. It is known for its small size and speed in transferring data from one device to other. The size of an SD card ranges from 1 GB to 128 TB. SD cards are comparatively more expensive when compared to standard USBs due to their small size. Types of SD Cards:

SDXC Memory Card – SDXC stands for Secure Digital eXtended Capacity. Their storage space starts at 64 GB and goes up to the capacity of 2 TB. The transfer speed goes up to 90 Mb/s.
Micro SD Memory Card – A Micro SD is a smaller version of an SD card with the same features. These Micro SD cards are capable of containing up to 16 GB of data and their transfer rate goes up to 8 Mb/s.
Micro SDHC – The micro SDHC can hold up to 32 GB of data which is enough storage for a smartphone user. They have a transfer speed of up to 10 MB/s.
Micro SDXC – The latest form of micro SD card is the micro SDXC. The micro SDXC card is capable of storing data sized from 32 GB to 2 TB.
